These are my best motivational quotes.
  1. Do the best you can...
  2. “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” ―Theodore Roosevelt.
  3. 'It's never too late to be what you might've been.” ―George Eliot.
  4. “If you can dream it, you can do it.” ―Walt Disney.
  5. “Trust yourself that you can do it and get it.” ―Baz Luhrmann

Here are a few of mine that deal with grief, love and loss:

"No matter the question, love is the answer."  - John Lennon

"Always be kinder than necessary, you never know the burden that someone is carrying."  - unknown

A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses. To the world, you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world. – Dr. Seuss

"You can clutch the past so tightly to your chest that it leaves your arms too full to embrace the present."  - Jan Gildwell

"There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love."  - Washington Irving

"I still miss those I loved who are no longer with me but I find I am grateful for having loved them. The gratitude has finally conquered the loss."  - Rita Mae Brown

"Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy." - Inuit legend

"The risk of love is loss, and the price of loss is grief - But the pain of grief is only a shadow when compared with the pain of never risking love."  - Hillary Stanton Zunin

"We've shared our lives these many years. You've held my hand; you've held my heart. So many blessings, so few tears - yet for a while, we must part.  We will be together again."  - unknown

"When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight."

Kahlil Gibran

Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts, M9.

This quote which is longish carries so much for me. I return to it often.

"The work of the mature person is to carry grief in one hand and gratitude in the other and to be stretched large by them. How much sorrow can I hold? That's how much gratitude I can give. If I carry only grief, I'll bend toward cynicism and despair. If I have only gratitude, I'll become saccharine and won't develop much compassion for other people's suffering. Grief keeps the heart fluid and soft, which helps make compassion possible."  Francis Weller

And Mark99 so good to hear your voice again as well. And to be reminded of the links between grief and gratitude.
