I was kind of kidding about the patent Sue:) I am glad that despite the heavy rain you can take pleasure in some aspects of it. Are you pretty confined to home with pneumonia? Any family coming by this weekend?

I am partially confined to bed and no, it's just Steve & me.
I'm tired most of  the time though so that's alright with me.

Hi Sue,

sorry  to hear that you are having a lot of challenges with both health, all the details of meds and keeping everything straight - and then worrying about losing your link to the internet? Now that's a problem.  Is there any way at all to access computers at the library? I guess that's not even an option when you are confined to bed:(.  That's the only idea I could think of right now to guarantee staying in touch.

i am sending you some positive vibes from a cold corner of Ontario - it's definitely not a good fall this year, way too cold wet and windy for my liking:(

i hope that your weekend will be restful and quiet - and that you know you have friends who are listening in and watching for your next post
sincerely,
NatR

Sue, well done.
Good for you for being so organised. Hubby, dealing with prostate cancer, was given an excellent binder that organized all this for him! Each society works so separately, and they really should co-ordinate their work!
Pneumonia is an awful thing.
Take care.

Hi Nat, Long time no hear. Steve has gotten a connection who is able to help us out with the tech a little bit. It's not much but I'll take it. And actually thank you for saying the word library, because that reminds me of my local library's outreach program. Thank god, I should get books soon! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hi Jennifer. You're right there should be more cross-society work, but at least here there isn't. I've decided to talk to my own home support worker and home respiratory nurse about it though. If there is one thing I've learned it's that I can't possibly be the onlly one. If it's happening with me, there is someone else, and probably many someone elses, who are going through the same thing. Hopefully we can get something together that will help.

I hope you''ve all had a great Thanksgiving weekend, whatever it looked like for you.
Blessings
Sue

Hello
I like quotes so found this one about books that I think is apt and humorous! “Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.”  Mark Twain.

It usually takes me a bit of time to take up ‘new’ technology like e-readers, and I still need to feel the covers of the book and turn the pages of paper – not ready to swipe with a finger on the screen yet!

I think your comment that you 'cannot possibly be the only one' is so true. I remember reading or hearing somewhere that if one person feels/thinks something at least 10 more do as well – I am sure that people who do polls are well aware of that. But it takes that one person to raise an issue or gather the troops.

Skim of snow here, lots of snow where NatR is and I think JennJilks is snow free at least from the pictures she posted on Confronting Prostate Cancer. – what about where you are Sue?

It's pretty over here in the Fraser Valley of BC, but it has deffinitely gotten chilly! 2C!

And you know, I have no idea what I came in to say. I hate it when that happens. I had, at the get-go, a clear plan of what to respond. The second I started to type it all just evaporated.

Oh well.

Not to worry Sue. It will come back to you - probably at a most unexpected time - if you are anything like me.
Take care

Hi
I have been thinking about you Sue. Hope you have some good books as the nights shut in earlier. But in a couple of weeks the days become longer - minute by minute!

Hi all,

It doesn't take but a few weeks and daylight starts to come earlier. I'm noticing the difference in the mornings already. How about you?

Sue, how has the weather been for breathing these last weeks? I hope you're doing alright and can drop a line to say hi.
Thinking about you.
