Hi everyone,

Suzanne asked me to share an update with you. She has reduced the amount of time she spends connecting on her various online communities. Since starting brain radiation therapy, it has become increasingly difficult to follow all the conversations. Her medication has been hard on her muscles and she has difficulty walking and even her speech can be frustrated by lapses in memory or stuttering. Not easy times, but her radiant spirit continues to shine through.

Over the past few days, I've been receiving incredible messages and photos from Suzanne. With glorious joy she sent a beautiful picture of her at her cottage, simply saying "I'm standing!"

Here is her latest blog Il fait beau?

She starts the post with "Finally a beautiful day. I got out of bed myself, got dressed, prepared myself a cup of coffee and my pills...."

Suzanne, you are simply radiant. Enjoy the good days.

Please continue to share your messages with Suzanne. While she may not always be able to respond, she can read them.

Hello Suzanne, this is your fellow Virtual Hospice friend, eKim.

Suzanne, Colleen provided a link to your blog.  I read your story and I was very moved.  It is a testament to your fine character, that during your troubling times that you still reach out to comfort others.  I will happily and gratefully use your extraordinary example as a building block on my human journey.

I wish you well, dear girl.  I send you my thoughts and prayers.

We often think of moments.  We think of past moments that we cannot change.  We think of future moments over which we have no control.  We think of present moments – moments on which we can focus our energy.

We must always maintain hope.  Hope for the best possible future, of course.  But most importantly we must hope that the present moment can be the best that it can be.  I hope that this present moment that you take to read this brings a smile to your face.  Why?

Imagine, a complete stranger, reaching out to you with thoughts of loving-kindness, doing the same thing that you have done so many times.  The perfect circle of this love is something to celebrate.

Love, Joy and Peace, sweet Suzanne.  Love Joy and Peace to you – now and always.

– eKim  aka Michael

Hello to you Passirose, Suzzanne,

i am am writing to send you my best wishes for today and the days to come.

although we are connected through the forum and don't know each other personally - I can feel that your gift and energy is to reach out and touch others - making a difference.

may today be a sunny warm day - as finally we are getting our delayed spring and summer all at once it seems.

if we can all focus on the positives of each day - we are better for it.  I feel that you are an example of that positive energy to those around you.  Thank you for giving from your heart;)

sending you my thoughts today,
and hugs, NatR ;)

Hello dear friends,

On Friday, Suzanne was admitted to hospice at La Maison Victor-Gadbois. She is surrounded by family and friends. This is picture of Suzanne in hospice with her daughter, her boyfriend and husband on her daughter's graduation night. Isn't her smile amazing?!

I will pass on your messages should you wish to share anything.
Colleen

Suzanne, as I prepare for my hospice volunteer shift tomorrow, I can't help wishing you were at our hospice.  I can't "be there" for you, but I will be thinking of you as I reach out to comfort others.  Peace and Love to you Suzanne.  eKim
