Life really is rather odd and unforgiving at time, but somehow it just keeps on going. A loss is gut wrenching at best, but as has been said, so many here are not just brave, but tough aged fighers, and like any fighter, it seems like we can't go another round, in the fight of Life, but somehow, we just do it.
VJ grab some rest, if you can, and know everyone is here, in your corner, ready to help with a cool towel, and soothing balm for all those cuts and bruises, that life has thrown at you.
Jimmie my heart goes out to you and the hard burden you are carrying, but as you once said, it is like an ocean wave, it just keeps coming in, wearing us down, but we are still here, taking every wave head on. (okay I am sort of paraphrasing, but you get my drift, I hope) You are a true battler, a bruiser I think they were called, and somehow you will perserve, and find a way to help the kids, as they go through their own battle. Just you being there, showing that one can still make it through to the next round, is a huge help
And Xenia, glad you are feeling better, and still ready to battle onwards. It is encouraging to me, and I know to others, to see you keep on picking yourself up, swinging with both hands. I wish I had that kind of stamina, but I am trying to learn from your example. And yes it is hot isn't it, only 2pm here on the westcoast of the island, an the back porch thermometer says it is a cool 32.
Thankfully we got one of those hooked sprayers to get the hanging baskets, now we just hold it over our head, while enjoying a fresh raspberry off the bush, watching the hummingbirds flit from flower to flower.
Hugs to all
Ian
