Langley Hospice Society organizes this 4 day 3 night camp for children between the ages of 5-10 (with some trained Jr. leaders between the ages of 11-15) who have lost a significant person or are anticipating the loss of a significant person in their life. The purpose of camp is to provide children with an opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings about the loss in a safe and supportive environment, to form connections with other children their age who understand what it’s like to be grieving, and to have fun!
Previous to camp, the registered campers are invited to participate in 1 of 2 pre-camp events as an opportunity to meet other children who will be attending camp, to be introduced to some of the camp leaders, and to participate in some of the sharing circles and activities they will experience at Camp Chrysalis.
