We married after three months of knowing each other. December 27, 2013. Brian my husband just lost his best friend to cancer 10 days earlier. It was sad for him but we had each other.

The first year of our marriage was awesome and then on January 29, 2014 Brian was very sick and got the diagnosis of liver disease. He gave it a great fight, but could never get well enough to get on the transplant list and he died at 44 years old on January 24 2016. Our second year was sickness, hospitals and me be a caregiver...to the man I love waste away.

I had to make those decisions that no one wants to make and it is still breaking my heart, but one thing I know is that hospice care made his last days pain free and he did not suffer and for that I am forever grateful.
