Hello Everyone,
I have a sister "Carol" who passed away from cancer two and a half years ago. I found this site to be extremely helpful with the overwhelming support from others who experienced the same issues.
Many of you may not be able to see beyond the grief you are feeling, but I would like to assure you that you will feel better with time.
To move ahead, I had the support of a therapist, friends, family and anyone who was willing to listen...when I needed to speak. It began to get easier for me, being able to laugh again at things she said etc.
I was hired as a PSW and have been working with clients that are palliative...I then last month decided to return to college to obtain my Palliative Care Certificate. It took awhile, but losing my sister was my inspiration to enter this field :)
You will heal! Just keep the faith!!!!!
