The Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care Unit (3 East) is a 30-bed specialty inpatient unit. The unit is designated for the care of patients with life-limiting illnesses who have been registered with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Palliative Care Program and require the knowledge and expertise of an interdisciplinary Palliative Care Team. The focus of care on 3 East is on providing symptom relief and emotional support to help patients achieve the best quality of life possible. Admission to the unit is coordinated through the WRHA Palliative Care Program. |
