I am so sad that my siister did not have enough support. I wish I had found this site for her. I am overwhelmed with sadness.

So sorry to hear what you are going through. A saying I am fond of says something like, you do the best you can with what you know. I imagine that those around your sister, did the best that they could for her at the time. I’m sorry this website was not able to be a part of that support but I am glad you have found it now. Perhaps it can be a support for you now as you process and deal with all the emotions and feelings you are experiencing.

Dear Ogechi

Thank you for the email. I think this website will be helpful . My sister left us May 12th and I am really struggling. I do not want to  cook as I canntot cook for her. I do not want to live my life as I am so very guilty that I have survived. My father is here and I am trying my best to make some food for us.

I am trying, I understand what I should do but am just overwhelmed with this, I cannot explain here but I tried to save her life. She was my younger sister.

Thank you

Dear 12
It has been just over a year since you last posted. I hope good memories of your sister and your time together have comforted you. I hope too that you have found support - someone to talk to about those memories and how much your sister meant to you.

Warm virtual hugs 12
Katherine

Dear Katherine,

I really appreciate hearing from you. It has been a very tough year, and people think that I must be OK now. Thinking of my sisiter makes me very sad. I do have someone to talk to each week and that really helps.

I am so glad that you wrote and that I can share this with you.

Best
