Dear Angie6
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I can’t imagine what you are going through. Actually, no one can, because each person’s story, their personality, their relationships, and their path is unique. I suppose that could be the “bad news”.
The “good news” I believe is that here, at Virtual Hospice, you will find others who are on paths similar to yours. These people have had other “perfect” strangers, reach out to them with loving-kindness. So now they, with gratitude, want to reach out to you as “perfect” strangers.
I am using the term “perfect” metaphorically however, I think you know what I mean. In today’s world, the term “stranger” can have negative connotations, however, I have found that it has a very positive side as well, for after all, the quote says, “Strangers are simply friends that we haven’t yet met.” And like Blanche Dubois says in “The Streetcar Named Desire”. “I have often depended on the kindness of strangers.”
So to sum up my “Philosophy 101” lol: We here at Virtual Hospice are not perfect, however, “Stick with us, kid and we won’t long be strangers.” Pour your heart out; we are listening compassionately.
- eKim (one of your new friends-to be)
