Welcome MeggM to our special place, a home away from home, for Carolyn Marie, her dear family and loyal friends!:-) What a gift you are giving to CarolynMarie - to all those who love her!

Thank you for sharing with us so poignantly more of the essence of CarolynMarie, the woman we have come to know and love through our communications at Virtual Hospice. I am not surprised to learn that we know only a small though significant part of the whole person that is CarolynMarie.

It has been evident from the first time she wrote and shared with us her generous heart, her illuminating thoughts, her gentle vulnerability, her fierce courage, her inspired insights, her uncommon sensitivity, her hopeful spirit, her encouraging smiles, and her richly empathetic soul that she has the power to touch people with pure and ever-living love!

We continue to feel her presence even in the distance and I know for me I always will. It is sad to know that there is much more to CarolynMarie to discover for which time will not allow. I wish she had, we all had much more time. I wish for as much time as is possible for CarolynMarie to simply be with those she adores so personally, intimately and heartbreakingly beautifully, her wonderful husband and her two precious children, and all of her close family and friends.

Megg, I have been reading your marvelous posts with updates about CarolynMarie on the CaringBridge site. Being so connected to CarolynMarie it is perfect that you are chosen to fulfill for her her desire to communicate her journey as it is happening. Her posts still echo within me and will echo in my life all of my days. She writes so truthfully, artfully, and somehow, even when she was experiencing some of her darkest days, she coloured her writing with humour and hope. Amazing!

I know how very emotional it must be for you daily, Megg. CarolynMarie, though she does undoubtedly move every person she has come into contact with, she touches most indelibly those like you, those who love her beyond what any words can ever express. You are the kind of friend we all hope to be blessed by to walk with us in life. . . and in death. Bless you, Megg.

You are most definitely welcome to share any writings of mine with CarolynMarie and her family and friends and/or on the CaringBridge website. CarolynMarie knows me as Cath1, but if you want more information or should you ever need to communicate privately with me, you may ask Colleen to share with you my email address. I know CarolynMarie was in awe of Jimmie's writing. He can express in a paragraph the poetry of the heart that she so loves and to which she innately relates. I know his healing powers reached her heart directly to give her comfort just as they reach mine and I trust they reach yours.

Please visit us again whenever you need another place to express yourself, your worries, your grief, your wisdom - you will always have virtual friends here because any friend of CarolynMarie is a friend of ours!:-) Please give CarolynMarie a soft hug for me the next time you see her and tell her I am with her in spirit and shall be always just as I know she is and will be always with us all. Thank you, Megg for your compassion and soul. I feel you with us too. We are together in the presence of love and her name is CarolynMarie. We are not alone.

With endless affection -hugs- -xo-

Dear CarolynMarie:

Today as I think of you, I am thinking too of your parents. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for them to see their child go through such a hard journey. It breaks my heart to think of how they must be feeling. I am sending them special virtual hugs today, the kind that will remind them that the love they instilled in you is a wondrous and everlasting gift that matters to so many. You matter so much to us all, CarolynMarie!

The unconditional love of a mother and a father teaches us how to give unconditional love to others, and it comes in very handy when we ourselves become a parent, as you and your children know so well, sweetheart. CarolynMarie, your children are blessed by the love of two devoted parents which gives them a secure and solid foundation. Like you, they will have the courage to follow their dreams and to love others with the might of their whole being! The light of your love for all of your family and friends shines brightly and will continue to shine for all the generations to follow.

I am hoping today you are feeling peaceful, cosy and content in the knowledge that you are so loving and so very well loved. I know your parents, your husband and your children, your siblings, cousins, and friends feel the love you inspire all around you. Hugs to you all.

With endless affection -hugs- -xo-

Sweet CarolynMarie:

You are so close to me in my heart today. I dedicate these songs to you. They are by one of my favourite artists, the late Eva Cassidy. She sings evocatively to you the words and wishes I could not write, but feel for you and about you. I do know you by heart, CarolynMarie, just as you know me. You are not alone. Ever.

The sun is shining today. I see your smile in the sky. I am listening to the music of your beautiful heart and your angelic soul. Thank you, sweetheart. Your trust and your friendship is to me a golden treasure. May paradise be yours.

My dear friends,

CarolynMarie died today surrounded by her family and much love.
As words fail me at this time, I'd like to share one of Carolyn's favorite quotes:

"Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain."

Dear Cath1,
Your beautiful words have touched my heart.  I think of you often and am so glad Carolyn found you.  I find comfort listening to the song you posted for Carolyn, Into the West.  I was wondering if it would be ok to post it on Carolyn's wall.  It is so beautiful.  I am so going to miss my beautiful friend, but I know she is now without pain, unfair as it is, it was her life journey.  Her husband Wayne said it was peaceful and for that we are all grateful.
Thanks again so very much,
SharonMarie

Dear SharonMarie:

I'm so sorry for your loss of CarolynMarie. Yes, to know that her passing was made peaceful by the presence of her husband and family is a deep comfort to us all in the moment. Now your hard journey of grieving begins. You are not alone. We grieve with you. I am sending you much love and will keep you and all of CarolynMarie's family and friends in my prayers. She is eternally blessed by you all.

Thank you for your beautiful heart that touches mine. CarolynMarie always inspired my words. Music is a constant inspiration and comfort for me and it is a love we shared, I believe. Yes, please feel welcome to share with anyone the video with the song "Into the West" that I had posted for CarolynMarie. You can simply copy the link and repaste. The lyrics to this song were published on the prayer card by my daughter for my Mom when she passed away. I have  copied them here for you and for anyone who may also be moved by the sentiments expressed. The song was inspired by the premature death of a young filmmaker who had cancer. It was written by Fran Walsh, Howard Shore and Annie Lennox and performed by Annie Lennox.

Take good care, SharonMarie and remember as you face your sorrow, we are here for you. Goodnight for now. CarolynMarie is resting now in peace. May she always bless your dreams.

With affection -hugs- -xo-

                                               "Into The West"

Lay down
Your sweet and weary head
Night is falling
You’ve come to journey's end
Sleep now
And dream of the ones who came before
They are calling
From across the distant shore

Why do you weep?
What are these tears upon your face?
Soon you will see
All of your fears will pass away
Safe in my arms
You're only sleeping

[Chorus]
What can you see
On the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea
A pale moon rises
The ships have come to carry you home

And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
All souls pass

Hope fades
Into the world of night
Through shadows falling
Out of memory and time
Don't say: "We have come now to the end"
White shores are calling
You and I will meet again

And you'll be here in my arms
Just sleeping

[Chorus]

And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
Grey ships pass
Into the West

My thoughts goes to her family and friends,
